My heart is full thinking about our school community this week, for several reasons. Our recent Holiday meal on Tuesday was an incredible event, and I want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who participated. A special shout-out goes to our dedicated staff, whose hard work made everything spectacular—from the delicious food and festive decor to the wonderful sense of camaraderie, and teamwork. We even had a special guest, former principal David White, drop by to volunteer and spend time with us. What an amazing community we have!
At the APyeS Awards Gala on November 1, the district came together to celebrate the exceptional dedication and service of APS employees during the 2024–2025 school year. We are especially proud to honor three of our own for their well-earned recognition: Lidra West, outgoing APS Teacher of the Year; Russell Jarrett, BPA Teacher of the Year; and Gayet Jones, Support Person of the Year. Thank you for all you do for our school community!
We are so excited for our Fall Festival tomorrow for students during Specials rotations! There will be Pumpkin Ring Toss, Pumpkin Relay Races and other games and activities. Each grade level will have about an hour to participate. Please note, due to space limitations, this is a student-only event unless you have signed up to volunteer. A huge thank you to our staff and volunteers for making this exciting event possible! It's also Book Character Day! I'm looking forward to all the Fall fun tomorrow.
